The Quadrangular building (1996) in Tilburg houses a concert hall and an art academy. These functions are strictly separated in this design by Jo Coenen. With the new design, the building is made accessible by the creation of the city foyer at the street level, where the different user groups mix. the patio will be roofed so the different wings of the building merge. In the basement, an underground stage will provide a broadening of cultural program. The classrooms can be used in the evenings and weekends for students and alumni to connect with the public with expositions performances or music lessons. The building gets a 24/7 use in which everybody is welcome to encounter the arts and each other.
