toward an alive rural

The rural world is getting empty and as a result, the landscape is full of ruins and abandonment. The inhabitants who resist to leave lack means, favoring still more the flight towards the cities as well as the loss of lifestyle which maintained a certain balance with the earth.

'From the rural ashes' is an project on the rural world that aims, through observation and dialogue, to give an architectural answer to the problem of depopulation by proposing a new concept: the library of tools; and through the use of that which is in disuse: the ruins.

For this purpose, the region of A Ribeira Sacra (Galicia, Spain) is analyzed as a field of study and application.
